[sadly there is no image to go with this post. I've just noticed that I have a serious lack of kid content in my life. I think I might need to change this.]
Two fantastic book projects related to kids:
The Rest Is Up to You -- "Like many kids, third grader Cohen Morano likes to watercolor. What's different about Cohen's paintings is that his father, Aye Jay, sends them out into the world to be embellished and altered by a stellar roster of artists and illustrators." via poppytalk.
Best Book Report Ever. Courtney at Two Straight Lines knew that her son had his first book report coming up for school. So not only did they work on the book report... she helped her son write a book.
There are so many things to love about these projects...
-it's a powerful thing to teach children that they can just do things like this. They don't need to get older first.
-it's a powerful thing to teach ourselves that we can just do things like this. We don't need to get older first. We don't need to learn more. We don't need to get anyone's permission. We don't. We just need to do it. Whatever it is... do it.

the collaborative art project is great
and yes, we can re-learn stuff from kids
like the joy of creating without expectations
just do it and see what pops up
that is fun
something we could all do with more of
And some of us need a lot more!!! lol
